PROGRAM HISTORY

Cochlear Implantation was introduced to ENT Associates in 2014 by Dr. Scott M. Greene, a board-certified head and neck surgeon and implantable hearing device specialist.

To date, Dr. Greene has performed more than 200-plus Cochlear Implant procedures with a 100% success rate, helping to establish ENT Associates as a “Center of Excellence” in Florida for the procedure.

Based on this success, the Cochlear Clinic was officially launched as a division of ENT Associates in 2020. We are a comprehensive cochlear implant center – one of few in the region to offer surgical and audiologic expertise with all three of the FDA-approved cochlear implant technology providers.

As we have grown, we have been able to combine years of cochlear implant experience with unsurpassed clinic care and cutting-edge research in cochlear implants, other implantable devices, and hearing rehabilitation.

THE COCHLEAR CLINIC IMPLANT TEAM

The Cochlear Clinic Implant Team is a multidisciplinary pair of expert physicians delivering compassionate, timely care to severely hearing-impaired patients. Working in collaboration with technology providers, speech pathologists and other ancillary support services, our team is dedicated to helping qualified patients successfully restore their hearing health.

DR. NADA HANNA

Cochlear Implant Audiologist

Raised in Tampa, Dr. Hanna joined ENT Associates in 2015. She is an esteemed Audiologist with specialized training in cochlear implants and bone anchored hearing aid devices. Passionate about the diagnosis and treatment of hearing loss for patients of all ages, she is an expert in a broad spectrum of hearing disorders.

Dr. Hanna received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of South Florida and completed her residency in the Adult Cochlear Implant Program at Washington University School of Medicine.

Dr. Hanna appreciates that every ear is unique. As a clinician, she strives to build trusting relationships with every patient and embed that trust in the foundation of every individualized care plan she designs. As the daughter of two teachers, she also understands that knowledge is empowering. She wants all patients to be informed decision makers and fully understand their diagnosis and treatment.

“Cochlear implants are life changing for everyone involved. As the provider, the opportunity to observe the full transformation of a patient’s quality of life and be part of their hearing journey is absolutely humbling.”

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hanna enjoys traveling, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family. She also donates her time to international healthcare missions. On her most recent medical trip to Kenya, Dr. Hanna served as the only audiologist on a team of medical professionals in collaboration with the University of Kentucky, instructing medical school students and establishing the foundation for a future Cochlear Implant Clinic in Nairobi.
